Can I Get A Free Credit Repair Kit?
The above question, in the eyes of most financial analysts, will bring up a plethora of feelings almost all of which would be negative. Most people believe that the credit repair kit notion is something to be avoided and that any marketing that offers a free kit to help you with repairing your sensitive credit is certainly not offering something that is a functional and realistic part of repairing credit and the like. It is certainly not the opinion of the majority of credit organisations and agencies that items like a free credit repair kit actually serve to repair your credit in the way that it should be repaired. The more conventional methods of financial repair are almost always preferred.
With that in mind, taking a look at the companies that offer a such a very useful kit for your credit often leaves a strange taste in the mouth. It is hard to comprehend that anyone would offer, free of charge mind you, a package of information or supplies that will help with determining the repair and completing the repair of a person’s credit. This is something that often takes years, and yet someone is offering this type of help for free. It seems a little too hard to believe and, in most cases, it is. There are rare exceptions in which someone has actually used free credit assistance to get their credit in order, but one wonders about the validity of those so-called results as well. There is simply no way to know for sure.
What Is A Kit To Help You With Repair?
A free credit repair kit is a kit that promises to help with getting your financial record straight. Credit repair is a term that is used to refer to a systematic process that can rehabilitate a person’s credit and make them worthy of credit once again. This process is generally started by getting copies of a person’s credit reports and checking them over for errors. The credit repair process also includes checking over the credit reports for possible omissions and misleading pieces of information. From this point, the corrections necessary are suggested and a formal dispute process is begun. This process, of course, assumes that there are errors in your credit report to begin with.
Now, most of the free credit repair kit samples merely demonstrate how to do this process. The kits themselves contain templates for documents such as letters to your credit company to obtain your credit report, letters to your credit company to request the deletion of incorrect or erroneous charges and problems, and letters to your credit company to request the addition of positive credit. Again, the free credit repair kit assumes that there are errors on your credit report. The whole foundation of this kit is based on that possibility, but if there are no errors than you are back where you began.

I have a question about letter # 3 "Request to delete inaccurate information.
If an item is inaccurate, do you have to give a reason why?
Or can you just say it’s inaccurate?
The credit bureaus have to tell you why it is accurate right?
Thanks for the heads up but I think your wrong on this one.
There is no place to pay, the letters and e-book download without a credit card and dont ask me to signup or submit an email.
I am not looking for a loan and my mortgage banker is not friendly.
I visited the site.
It is just another money lending outfit.
There is no such thing as ‘free credit’. You always pay somewhere down the line.
I would be healthily suspicious.
If you are looking for a loan, how about your asking your ‘friendly’ bank manager.
However ! remember they are not benevolent societies. They are looking for a profit.
Sorry ! I am just naturally cynical.

I have never used the "free credit repair kit". But you can request to have errors listed on your credit report removed yourself. There are three different credit bureaus… TransUnion, Equifax and Experian. You are entitled to one FREE credit report annually. You can either visit their main company website or your can go to http://www.annualcreditreport.com to obtain all three credit reports for FREE. Review it thoroughly because not all three reports will be identical, some creditors may report to one bureau only while others report to all three. Yes you have to state the reason you think a listing is inaccurate. You can dispute any information that you think is invalid by contacting the credit bureau directly. You will need to fill out an online form and answer a few basic questions and they will investigate. The credit bureau will contact the creditor and verify the information you provided. You will be notified of their findings. Keep in mind that if the creditor confirms that the information they reported was correct, then the bureau will not remove it.

The only accurate way to "repair" your credit is by yourself. I thought that I had the worst credit and automatically was applying for a prepaid cell phone. Turns out that it wasn’t thaaat bad but bad enough that they turned me down for one of the better plans. However, I did request a copy of my free credit report that I was entitled to. Upon receiving it, I was absolutly shocked. They had several different addresses for me of which I had never lived. There were at least 5 different social security numbers listed, and of course debts that were NOT mine! I called them and they said that somehow my info had gotten tagged with another person’s info. Huh! I don’t know how many prospective employers saw this let alone anyone else. It made me look like a con artist. I know this is a long story but learn from it please. Always check the status of your credit report!!! I did finally repair my credit report.
