This is an overivew of all the foundation primers I have and what I think about each one. Hope this helps.

I would recommend … I would recommend just putting moisturizer all over your face, which will act like a primer for your dryish cheeks, then use a mattifying primer on your t zone only. Well mac’s matte cream has 0.84 oz and smashbox has 1 oz, but mac’s is only $18 and smashbox is like $38 so mac’s is actually a better deal.
Well since you have … Well since you have combination skin you might want to use 2 different ones or only use one on certain areas. I would recommend a mattifying primer for your tzone like mac’s matte cream and for your dry cheeks I would recommend laura mercier primer or make up for ever hd primer. Hope this helps:)

So thanks for that recommendation! Also, if you are using an oil control lotion, do you put that on under or over your primer? Thanks again!!!
what about oily … what about oily t-zone and sorta dryish cheeks but not really and im using studio sculpt foundation from MAC but soon switching tot he studio fix powder plus foundation which is said to go woth their MATTE stuff rlly well but then smashbox u get more and they r both gel based right?
im new to primers, … im new to primers,im not sure what to use. I have an oily t zone with large pores & dry flaky cheeks,what do you think i should use?
I think the make up … I think the make up for ever hd primer would be best when your skin is dry and flaky. And when your skin is more oily I would recommend the cover fx mattifying and acne primer

Well it has … Well it has salicylic acid in it, which exfoliates your skin and treats acne, so if your skin in sensitive to salicylic acid, then that could cause the burning.

I would say out of all the primers I’ve tried the Mac Matte Cream and the Body Shop Matte It Face It and Lips. I just heard a trick that putting matte cream on your lips prior to putting on lipstick/gloss makes it last longer and go on smoother.
Great review!! I … Great review!! I actually have the Clear FX matte primer, and it doesn’t really do much for oil control for me. I have oily skin too, and I gret shiny easy, so I think I will try the Body Shop one since I’m not near a Sephora store, so thanx!!
oh great I’m glad … oh great I’m glad you like it! Yeah I like that it dries to a matte finish and stays on so long even with oily skin. lol. Yeah the MUFE mat + velvet is perfect for oily skin, especially in the summer. Another great thing about it is that you don’t have to set it with powder.
